Roberto Harrison is the author of the poetry collections Os (subpress, 2006), Counter Daemons (Litmus Press, 2006), bicycle (Noemi Press, 2015), culebra (Green Lantern Press, forthcoming 2015), Bridge of the World (Litmus Press, forthcoming 2017), as well as of many poetry chapbooks. With Andrew Levy he edited Crayon magazine from 1997 to 2008. He edits the Bronze Skull Press chapbook series and is also a visual artist.


authorial intent

place the weekend outside, those absolute offers made by the door
to remember their momentary connection, as a found place
together with the cycle of days, more of an approach, meaning that the trees
catapult faces to the unadorned fascicle, or that a derivative casket
like memory and the mist filled with a trembling husk, sees. the corn remains
distinct beside you, released and approachable to the salt, when a fight
desires its only like the line of writing two, with each planter, when making
the immediate rite of ancient deliveries, which one resumes beyond the sand

they whisper signs through desperate aches, those gestures made to fit and rise
meaning stops on the allure of straw, its fall is made to each – a separate interior
releases with a warbling after tombs. when a fire diseases the retreat, and hands
delay the weather on the timber all returns, a piece where mention takes the tent
and fields a radio warm to move, signs to be the feet and window made on one
to field the winter more than something light to wave a crossing lane for Panamá
with integral releases formed to vacate all the wounds and force the seven fish
inside the tentacles of linear relays and underwater hills material with owning

off the credit for creator lame a forcible deterrence finished on the tree


computational nature

green and separate, the field made under a stretched foundation
as their going fine below a cross, those after light which move
seemingly, unannounced and penetrative under sand
as a patron and as the falling angle below a measured walk
only the line, or what would evolve and tense up within the sky
as a falling kind of network retains and moves over the landscape
one magnetic and one searching the mammoth, the enclave
of the orchid frozen and brought back to the beginning

as a rain would perpetrate or the easel finished below the door’s
fatal cost. as one enters and the ointment for faces on the lesion
provides a tensile cost to the open coast of fallow impressions
as one dives within the continent of signs. what the faction
of the dress along with steam, resource packet does the area
beside volume and speed, nor what the slope resumes along
a rendering for capes. their memory does not infuse the cart
within bone steps and a frequent letter, halving the connection

forward, within the number pine of the Sea


outside the two

what do you do when you save changes? the atmosphere penetrates
past you and those about to remove the exception, not really a worn attachment
as someone perpetuates moss, or something retrieved inside the main storm
under the radio which, when turned to the forest, empties out the adored
sequence under the leaves. as if the nuclear ash returns or signifies like the immigrant
stolen beside a removal, the sent weakness, those manacle lines of breathing
forced and released beyond the screen’s radiation, as it cuts repeatedly
and will not provide the charge needed to sit still on the ground

without promises and without the remedial lever, those memory-less hikes
delivered as the only wheel that a musical force, a background checking horse
deters and receives like the pattern prairie does with a worm. sweetgrass
replays their retrievals like the unworn egg does, with a falling geometric
hold because then the spirit hair takes what does not replay inside the mold
disease, and under the fire with a rain followed by granite, it calls. there, among
the unimpressed line of the faltering fish, accepted and placed around the city
where someone connects their angry lines for the forcible breath, non-stop

for a knife
